Denon AH-C300 Urban Raver

Preview: The "world's first" dual-driver dynamic earphones.

There did seem to be a slightly fibrous quality to the mids, though - and not quite the top-end intricacy you might expect to hear from a balanced armature setup. However, these impressions were gained in less-than-perfect conditions and using smallers...

Denon AH-C300 Urban Raver review: In-ear headphones for bass lovers

If you're looking for thumping bass from an in-ear headphone, the Denon AH-C300 Urban Raver should be on your short list.

In-ear headphone dishes out maximum thump for bass aficionados; works as iPhone headset with integrated microphone; has click-wheel volume/pause controls on the right earpiece.

The AH-C300's cables don't detach, so when they break you will have to get the headphones repaired. The sound is better suited to rock and hip-hop than jazz or classical music. They're larger than average for in-ear headphones.

The Denon AH-C300 Urban Raver in-ear headphones deliver ample bass and will please hip-hop and rock fans with its lively dynamics and treble detailing.

The AH-C300's bass response is supplied by two 11.5mm drivers in each earpiece, and the two drivers use Denon's "Double Air Compression Driver Technology" to generate maximum bass output. The other notable design feature is the way the iPhone...

Denon AH-C300 Urban Raver review

Denon's Web site isn't shy about what sort of buyer the company had in mind for the AH-C300 Urban Raver in-ear headphones ($249). The company claims that the not-so-tiny headphones will deliver "a bone-jarring, brutally powerful bass experience." My...

Denon Urban Raver AH-C300 In-Ear Headphones

The Denon Urban Raver AH-C300 In-Ear Headphones deliver substantially boosted bass, in a novel design, and you get some thoughtful accessories.

Quality, distortion-free audio with seriously powerful bass. Excellent, secure fit. Unique, on-ear phone controls and microphone. Comes with several useful accessories.

Slightly overpriced. Can be uncomfortable over long listening periods. Boosted bass is not for purists.

Worth the extra dollars for the amazing experience.

The only reason these aren't getting more than 4 stars from me, is because I'm certain there are better headphones out there, if you have the money to dish out on them. These headphones provide something that I have yet to experience in another pair of...

Many customizable in-ear tips, incl. Comply foam ear-tips. Truly powerful low frequency notes one can feel. Lower-priced than headphones of comparable quality. Built-in volume control, song control, and microphone in ear-buds. Outstanding fidelity.

Large for in-ear headphones. Audio is bass-centered: "Too much of a good thing." Non-detachable cables.

Big headphones, big bass.

Once I got a good fit, they worked really well and stayed in my ears. Ohh and the bass is REAL. They are still huge though....

Dual drivers for big bass ; iPod controls ; Stay in your ears after finding the right fit

Huge for headphones ; Hard to find a good fit ; Controls only work with apple devices

Tons of ear tips

If you want comfortable in ear headphones, get these. If you just want the cheap headphones from a cheap retailer and don't care about feel, don't waste your money. After looking at the software, it cost $2 to use all the features. Just something you...

Can't complain too much. They perform well. They are very adjustable and very comfortable once you put them in

Well... I definitely would not pay any more than $70 for them. They work well, but so do a lot of headphones. I am also not 100% sure what difference a small amount of gold will make on headphones, but it does look cool
