If you're ok with a handset clipped to your waist and a cord attached to the headset, this is perfect. While not truly cordless in that sense, at half the price, the sound quality out performs most cordless headsets I've used.

Works well throughout house

 

I am an audio professional and I'm happy with this unit. We have a 2-story home and have owned wireless phones of various brands, but none were able to provide coverage throughout the house, they all faded or had noise if you got too far from the base....

Works everywhere in house. Good volume and sound quality.
