Looks like its built well. Solid Majority of it is metal, NOT Plastic

Who is the genius that put the key to "Unlock" the tray inside of the locked tray ? Hmmm How are we supose to unlock it and get the key ? Key is made of flimsy plactic. I don't see it lasting long

Decent enclosure, Minor issues.

 

Had to take off an egg because of the screw-hole issue (I was switching drives enough to where this was getting to be a real hassle). May be worth looking into getting multiple trays for just this reason. Otherwise, it's solid. This turned up when...

Works well. A little more "stylish" than some HDD enclosures I've seen in the past (due to the slick black face-plate). Push-button mechanism for face plate seems pretty solid

Screws get a little "stuck" in HDD mounting tray pretty easy which makes it a little difficult to swap drives using a single tray. They will un-thread from the HDD fine, but will not dislodge from the screw-holes as easily. Makes it a little...

Trade-off

 

I would like to see a sturdier pin setup for exchanging trays. No major probs.

I chose this product for the 2.5" slot. seems sturdy and light, in a neat little package

The fit was a little snug with the faceplate not wanting to open all of the way sitting on top of my card reader. Working it open and closed a couple of times made it easier

It leaves something to be desired

 

The inability to find additional "Caddies" defeats all of the "Hot-Swap" advantages. If I was able to find a way to buy additional caddies I would be happy to give this a 5 Egg rating.

This device seemed like a good way to provide "Quick-Change" drive swap capability

However, after ordering it, I have been unable to find out how to obtain additional "Caddies" so that I can quickly remove one drive and insert another ; Newegg hasn't been able to provide any info about this

Very pleased

 

I have absolutely no need for a hot swap drive bay. I lost all of the tool less mounts to my 3.5" drive bay so that was my excuse for getting this. So, for a hard drive holder, it rocks the house!

Fan is quiet ; Worked out of the box ; Forced me to finally take on the out-of-control Medusa of wires coming out of my case. I conquered it with flaming torches and zip ties

Nice HDD tray

 

Nice sturdy design, great price, 2.5 + 3.5 is a great idea

Would be great if 2.5 HDD could also be housed within the unit instead of it being exposed. I have a lot of cables and wires going everywhere in my build, and it's a bit difficult to stay clear of the 2.5 HDD that I have attached to this unit
