The first thing to comment on is the performance of the LCD panel which LG use in the M198WA, which has an extremely high contrast ratio of 3000:1, a number that is very impressive for a screen of this size – the higher the number the better.

It lacks any kind of built in digital free to air decoder, meaning you would have to have a separate Freeview box plugged into the SCART socket to watch digital TV through the LG M198WA. Additionally it lacks an HDMI port which can be found on larger,...

Time taken to switch channels when "flicking" is very long.. +3 seconds approx.

I like the picture quality and the settings are very customizable so you can get the pocture just as you like it.It has a good remote control.Very good choice of connections.

The sound quality is very poor.The speakers should be changed, but i knew this when i bought it, i just plugged in an old set of computer speakers and that solved the problem. Again, i knew this was a problem before i bought it and it didn't put me off...
