Dell produces an Intel Core i7 desktop that's small and relatively cheap.
Avis d'expert par : Henry Winchester (techradar.com)
Can a grand really buy you one Dell of a system?
Cheapest i7 PC yet ; Loads of memory
Middling graphics card ; Dull design
Certainly not the best PC in the world, but a fairly decent stab at the 'budget' Core i7 though.
Avis d'expert par : Joel Santo Domingo (pcmag.com)
Somewhere between gaming and mainstream systems lies the Dell Studio XPS. With its Core i7 power, it can compete with much higher-end—and pricier—machines.
High-end performance for what used to be a mainstream price. Can play games, including Crysis. It's not a gaming rig, so it won't stick out.
At this price, it should have had Blu-ray and a little more storage. Its power supply somewhat limits future expansion.

The Studio XPS delivers powerful performance for its price; but the internal design hampers this awesome PC.
High-performance Core i7 CPU ; Competitively priced
Internal design issues ; Only 500GB storage
Though standard parts and components can be customized and changed over time, Dell is relatively locked to its proprietary case and components. That's a shame, because in a normal, upgrade-friendly chassis, the Dell Studio XPS would shine as a solid PC...

This Studio XPS (model 435mt) includes a 2.93-GHz Intel Core i7 940 processor, an excellent CPU that delivers powerful speeds in conjunction with the system's 6GB of DDR3 (1066 MHz) memory. As you might expect, a 64-bit Windows Vista version--Home...

Dell Studio XPS
Outstanding performance for sub-$1,500 PC; configurable options let you get a Core i7 CPU for less than $1,000.
Competing systems have more exciting features; limited upgrade path.
You can find flashier PCs than Dell's $1,299 Studio XPS, but few have as much power where it counts. We don't recommend its small, pared-down case for upgraders, but this PC will satisfy anyone who needs a loaded, powerful PC for gaming and...

Dell's Studio XPS makes good use of its Intel Core i7 920 and 6GB allocation of RAM, scoring a commendable 128 points in WorldBench 6. It's also built into a compact and rather stylish case, which gives it a much tidier appearance than most...
Dell's Studio XPS may cost £50 less than the competition, but the specifications list has taken a far greater cut.

Dell Studio XPS-122B
Fast quad-core CPU performance; strong price-to-performance ratio.
Limited upgradeability; competing systems offer better 3D performance.
Even though Dell's Studio XPS-122B has the latest Intel CPU, its sparse configuration feels like a throwback. This is not to say it's slow or lacking in features, but you'll find this system has relatively few aspirations aside from serving as a...
