Very pleased!

 

I bought this Open Box and saved like $600. So I'm very happy with it! Amazing hardware for that price. And other than a few tiny cosmetic dings there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Fast ; SSD makes everything better ; Great video card, great CPU ; Runs pretty much anything

None really to speak of. The slide panel on the front is neat but a little bit awkward to work. But otherwise everything works great, and the system isn't too loud

Great System with one major strike against it.

 

Plays every game I've installed in high res with no lag whatsoever ; Have yet to max out memory ; Quiet and runs smoothly ; SD drives makes reinstalling a breeze when the majority of my files are on the second drive

Runs well, fast, quiet

A little bulky ; Just recently (I've owned it about 5 months) the cpu has been shutting down, often repeatedly. then it will run fine for a few days or weeks and start again. Is this a heat issue

While not a con, my observation is this is a laptop in a big box with a big video card. IMHO, the big graphics card makes it a hybrid. The slanted front bezel makes panel upgrades difficult at best, if not impossible. As far as other upgrades...I'd...

All components (PSU/GC) are matched for an excellent experience in-program. Lots of USB3 ports. Win 8.1 is working fine...excellent integration with the hardware. The opportunity for a free Win 10 upgrade is tempting. This machine should provide...

HDD temps are high because there appears to be no provision for additional cooling. Adding another HDD sends drive temps upwards to 45c and beyond (HD Sentinel). I want to hang another fan on the HDD cage...looks like it'll need some steampunk...

Solid system

 

Good system for someone who doesn't have the time or desire to build a system or have one built. Great 1080-1440 gaming system for years to come. At 1400 not a bad deal.

4970 i7 CPU ; Geforce GTX 970 ; clean minimalist case ; ample USB ports/SD card reader ; very quiet

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a really solid gaming desktop. You will not have to upgrade for a long time.

Amazingly smooth machine. Powerful but yet quiet. Never overheats and has enough power inside to run anything you come across

Runs slightly better than my 7 year old system it replaced. But not by much

Asus support is impossible to work with. Manual is useless. Can't get support to send any documentation. No instructions on how to open the case or install upgrades and more HDDs ; No full version of OS. Just the restore partition. I wanted to...
