HP Pavilion Elite E9120f Value Desktop PC

The HP Pavilion Elite E9120f is built around a 2.6GHz Phenom II X4-910 processor--one of AMD's newer chips. Unfortunately, the Phenom II X4 CPU doesn't enable the E9120F to rise above its Intel-based value PC rivals--even after you factor in the...

Blu-ray Drive ; Good amount of memory and storage space

Poor gaming performance ; Messy insides exacerbate limited upgradability

Lackluster performance and an undistinguished feature set prevent this computer far achieving elite status among value PCs.

HP Pavilion Elite e9120f

The HP Pavilion Elite e9120f, a midpriced, AMD-based entertainment desktop, packs everything from a big 1TB hard disk to a Blu-ray player.

Blu-ray player. Scads of storage and memory. Handy front-mounted ports. Handsome MediaSmart software.

Can't play demanding games. Limited expandability. Some bloatware.

Everything I wanted and more

Fast. Very high scores for the Microsoft Windows Experience. Not gaming on this platform anymore, but with an $100 upgrade to a video card it would be rocking. Great chip, board and memory

The hard drive was too slow, so I replaced it and went with Windows 7. Depending on how you look at it, the HP pocket drive seems a bit paternalistic as well as the HP Easy Backup

Newegg is always outstanding. I have yet to buy a product I wasn't happy with. Their shipping speed is great. I recommend Newegg to anyone wanting to buy a computer or accessories. I will never buy anywhere else the prices are unbeatable. I do use...

This computer is outstanding. Has all the ram and hard drive space you need for everyday performance. I'm not into gaming so I dont know how well it would perform . But for everything else its has plenty of power to get the job done. HP hasn't let me...

Additional Information

The RAM is DDR3 but it is DUAL Channel. On the HP website it states that it will support 16GB (4GB per DIMM) witha 64x OS. Also it will support DDR3 Dual Channel 1333MHz!

N/A just additional information

CPUz say this is an nVida 790 board but it is not. It is a 900 series board. So no AMD overdrive but you CAN us ATi overdrive for the video card

Nice UPGRADEABLE machine!

I upgraded to a single Visiontek HD4670 1GB GPU. That is what the two '**' are for in my 'Pro's review'. This card needs a 400 watt PSU as specified by Visiontek however I haven't had any problems yet. I will be upgrading to at least a 600+ watt PSU in...

Bluray player for such a low priced system $819.99 at the Navy NEX. 8GB of DDR3 1066MHz memory. Runs HL2 EP1 & 2 like a champ at the HIGHEST settings! Adobe CS3 software runs superbly. I can create 1920 x 1080 drawings at 400 dpi and not run out of...

HD4350, don't get me wrong it can do what I mentioned above as far as the game play. No room for expansion to Crossfire X. They purposefully made the backing to support only one video card. Nothing a dremel can't fix though. The mother board is mounted...
