The HP Pavilion p6240f has quad-core power and is decently priced.

Quad-core power for under $700. Widely available (Not specific to one retailer). Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n. Some expandability.

Bloatware, including dial-up offers. Only 60-days subscription to Norton Internet Security.

Good Deal for the money

 

I'm not a buy one in the box type person, but when I checked with my local computer guys about building me a machine, they surprised me by telling me to buy one in a box and add upgrades to it as it would be cheaper than building a new one.

Setup was simple and fast. Performance is outstanding. Best computer I have ever owned (and there have been a lot). Highly recommend.

Great computer and excellent price!

 

We use this computer at our business where we have 2 monitors and run Quickbooks 2007 and 2009 at the same time in addition to many other programs like MS Outlook & MS Word. The computer runs perfectly with this load without any slow down.
