Shuttle SP-45H7

Today we have in our labs one of the latest Small form factor PC by Shuttle, based on the P45 Intel chipset. The SP45H7 promises to deliver high performance, stability and quiet operation for users who need more than a standard PC case.

Shuttle SP45H7 retails for around $354, making it an ideal solution for users who wish to get a small, affordable and powerful PC.

Shuttle XPC SP45H7

Why pay more when you can have integrated graphics, HDMI and identical performance for less?

We took a long hard look at the SP45H7 to see whether it offered extra features that might prove to be tempting when you choose the barebones for your next PC but we came up dry. We had hoped that the SP45H7 might be better suited to the performance...

Shuttle Prima SP45H7 Intel Barebones System Review

I'm sure a lot of you have heard of Shuttle, I first experienced a Shuttle system when I was building computers for a few friends for them to take to school. If you are unfamiliar with Shuttle they make small form factor “cube” systems that perform...

Easy installation ; Can fit a full-sized video card ; Small form factor ; Can really build a top of the line system ; Great cooling

Single piece top casing

I’ve always been a fan of Shuttle systems and the SP45H7 barebones kit only reasserted that. I have not really had hands on experience with a Shuttle system in about 3 years. Not much has changed really, except that Shuttle keeps on making things...

Shuttle SP45H7

In the PC gaming world it seems like everything just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Recently we looked at the Coolermaster 840, at over 22 inches tall it's a very large case. What if you could pack your whole rig into something no taller than a DVD...

At the end of my time with the SP45H7 I have a newfound respect for shuttle computers for everyday use and gaming. Every small detail like the easy to use Bios reset, easy overclocking, great cooling, and room for a dual slot GPU prove that building a...

Shuttle XPC SP45H7

Recensione - Shuttle XPC Barebone SP45H7

Another great Shuttle box

Shuttle SP45H7 - Intel Q9550S - EVGA GTX 275 - Samsung SSD 64GB - G.Skill PC6400 2x2GB - WD Velociraptor 300GB - Samsung external DVD - Thermaltake Power Express 250W 5.25" PSU

You can't beat Shuttle when it comes to mini-PC/SFF. I may have been lucky with Shuttle boxes but they've always worked right out of the box. I like this ICE system much more than the one used in the P2 series. It makes sense to me that the hot air is...

The one cons with this box is the PSU. It seems that people at Shuttle noticed that video cards are quite big nowadays while they didn't notice that they also need more power. I don't see the point of moving the PCI-E slot away from the edge to allow...

Great SFF system

I would recommend this this to anyone interested in building a good performing gaming system that fits almost anywhere and does not sound like a jet engine.

This is easier to build than other Shuttle systems I have built in the past. All of the cables are pre-routed, making it easy to install the drives. I was worried that installing my 8800GTS video card would be troublesome, but it popped right into...

Using a double-width video card blocks the only PCI slot, so I was forced to use the onboard audio, which so far has been a solid performer. The front bezel has some plastic areas that seem a little more flimsy than I would like. It is pricer than a...

Works Perfectly

I transferred my hardware (all of it) from a mid-tower chassis into this XPC and it worked perfectly right off the first boot; CPU/GPU/HDD temps are no different in this than they were in my mid-tower (and I used a big Zalman 9700NT cooler in the...

Small ; quiet ; runs cool ; H7 chassis is a good evolution from the G5 chassis ; has three SATA connectors which allows for utilization of maximimum internal expansion bays ; accepts double-wide graphics cards ; firewire (it has been disappearing of...

Would prefer the northbridge chip had a larger passive heatsink rather than the smaller one with the fan ; the SATA ports or connectors could be bent or broken by a builder inexperienced with XPC's due to the location of the ports ; while it accepts...

Shuttle wins me again

The fan wire next to the rear fan can be troublesome when installing the video card. The PCI slot will obviously be taken up by the later generation video cards.

Setup was easy, quick guide was easy to understand, and had it up and running in a couple of hours (I take my time). The system is fairly quiet. I haven't noticed any hiccups and will be installing the rest of the apps/games tonight. I had no problems...

None so far except the top of the front plastic plate can bend down easily if you push down from the top - very flimsy.
