Acer Aspire One 751 notebook

We've already fallen into the trap of calling this "the 11.6", a name that has something of an ethereal quality, and certainly rolls off the tongue better than Aspire One 751: after all, there is a whole family of "Ones". When we come to summing-up our...

Screen resolution, design, lightweight

Keyboard, lacks power, construction a little too flimsy

When we come to summing-up our feelings about the 751 it is difficult. We want to love it: it looks great out and about, but has so many issues, it is a nightmare to live with.

Review Acer Aspire One 751 Mini-Notebook

Acer Aspire One 751 review

Just when we thought every netbook would be consigned to the 10in-screen template, we find two in the same month with 11.6in displays. The Acer Aspire One 751 and Packard Bell dot m/a are related by more than just screen, though. Packard Bell is now a...

The stretched display not only offers more screen space, helped by the high 1366x768 resolution, but allows for a normal-sized keyboard which makes typing that much easier. In spite of using the slowest Intel Atom available, the Acer Aspire One 751 did...

Acer Aspire One 751 review

One of the better-designed 11.6in netbooks we've seen, it just misses out on an award due to its stiff keyboard and video issues.

At 1.4kg, Acer's Aspire One 751 is slightly heavier than most netbooks.

Acer Aspire One 751

This is a Netbook but not with the normal 1.6GHz Atom processor. This has a 1.33GHz Atom processor meaning it uses less power so you should be able to get eight hours of battery life. The slightly larger screen displays 1366x768.

This Acer Netbook measures 28x21x3cm and weights 1.35kilos. It has a shiny lid (shows fingermarks) a matt black base and silver grey keyboard surround. The larger battery (to give the eight hour battery life) sticks out 2cm from the back and the back...

Aspire One 751 vs. Gateway LT3103

I've gotta admit, I've been waiting for this. I've been a fan of the netbook concept nearly from the beginning. Cheap, highly portable computing is something I tend to appreciate. Netbooks really were a little too Lilliputian at the outset, with 7"...

Netbooks continue to grow up, morphing and changing in interesting ways as they do. As they enter their adolescence, they're becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish from more traditional ultraportables. That's a happy trend, because it leads...

Acer Aspire One AO751

Looks like Acer was the first one to let out a 12-inch netbook in the market with the 11.6″ Acer Aspire AO751. After using one for a couple of weeks, I got to the bottom of things. Check out our full review after the jump.
