GOOD GEAR GUIDE - EDITOR'S CHOICE

Avis d'expert par : Elias Plastiras (goodgearguide.com.au)

Apple MacBook Pro (15in with Retina display) review

Apple's 15in MacBook Pro with Retina display is perhaps the finest notebook on the Australian market

Excellent screen ; Sturdy build quality ; Great keyboard ; Runs quietly

Some noticeable warmth ; Screen reflections can be annoying

There's no doubt that Apple's 2012 MacBook Pro is a great piece of kit. Its Retina display and Ivy Bridge CPU are the main attractions, but its keyboard and overall build quality are still among the best in the business and make this laptop a worthy...

Apple MacBook Pro (15in, Core i7)

The new MacBook range employs Intel's new Core i5 and Core i7 processors

Excellent aluminium unibody design, great build quality, Core i7 processor option, increased performance and battery life over previous models, excellent keyboard, large trackpad

Trackpad has areas with poor response, glossy display, 5400rpm hard drive, restricted graphics card switching, USB ports poorly positioned, can become uncomfortably hot on occasion

The design remains the same, but Apple's latest MacBook Pro has received a welcomed upgrade under the hood. The glossy display, slow hard drive and poorly positioned USB ports remain issues, but better performance and battery life than previous models...

Apple MacBook Pro (15in)

Apple's latest 15in MacBook Pro notebook is evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

Superb design, aluminium unibody enclosure, backlit keyboard, dual graphics setup, large touchpad, SD card slot, better battery life than previous models

Touchpad has areas with poor response, display viewing angles could be improved, glossy display can be distracting, 5400rpm hard drive, graphics switch requires log-out, no ExpressCard slot, only two USB ports

Apple's latest MacBook Pro features improved internal components and now comes with an SD card slot at the expense of an ExpressCard slot. The superb aluminium design remains the same and performance is pretty impressive on the whole.

Apple MacBook Pro 15in 2010 review

Apple's latest 15in MacBook Pro doesn't look much different to last year's – so, what's been going on under the hood?

Lack of Blu-ray aside, this is a truly great media laptop with an amazing battery life

Apple Macbook Pro (15in, early 2011) notebook

Apple Macbook Pro revew: Apple's 2011 Macbook Pro adds extra processing, graphics grunt and a new connection standard

Thunderbolt is theoretically an excellent connection standard ; The extra processing power is noticeable

There aren't many other changes to write about ; We can't do anything with Thunderbolt at the moment

Apple MacBook Pro 15in (Late 2011) review

Apple didn’t even press release the changes in this gentle speed bump for autumn 2011’s MacBook Pro. But small increases in performance are there to be had, over what was already a spectacularly fast laptop. We’re still holding out for a complete...

Apple MacBook Pro 15in (2011) review

Stunning performance, amazing new technology and the same great design, but the astronomical price makes the new MacBook Pro for professionals only.
