***WARNING***

 

I should've bought a different laptop and will never buy Asus products again.

Can't provide any as the computer would not power up at all when received

DOA! Heed the other warnings on this unit! I figured maybe Asus just had a few bad ones out there and I'd be fine to buy one. I was wrong. Will not power up! Hard drive tries to startup but screen remains black. After talking with Asus representative...

Fantastic laptop

 

Immediately swapped HDD for SSD- best Christmas present I gave out this year.

Low price for what you get (touchscreen, decent RAM, a GPU that isnt complete crud- kind of a high-middle class GPU). Relatively high build quality

Backlit keyboard shines through under keys- makes it look sloppy and would have been easy to fix

While the RMA process has been accommodating, the quality of the fix is absolutely terrible. I'm an electrical engineer and I've never seen a reliability this low before.

Good specs, nice touch screen, large display. Good unit if you get non-deffective one, I guess

I normally do not write reviews but this purchase has been so disappointing that I feel a review is warranted ; 1. First unit arrived DOA with broken keyboard. Returned to newegg and quickly got a new one ; 2. Second unit came with broken headphone...

Great refurbished item

 

I bought this to game while travelling and use for programming on the go. It is very sturdy, which was my biggest goal in a travel laptop. It is not top of the line for gaming, but it can do the job if you play with the settings in every game I've...

For the price, you can't beat the components. If your experience is like mine, you will not notice it's a refurb at all

This computer needs an SSD. Not really a con, as you get plenty for the price, but you will need to add one for speed

Plays high demanding games fairly well at medium to high graphics (BF4, medium) at 25-60 fps, you'll see better performance and higher frame rates with it plugged in over just running on the battery, for the price I got it for im very impressed with...

Computer was well shipped,Turns on in 3-8 seconds, very fast for only having a 1 terabyte 5400 rpm hard drive, VERY quiet, has a decent graphics processor( 745m 2gb, By nvidia) , I7, and 8 Gb Memory which suitable for plenty of games, stays super cool...

Metal case get a little warm along the top towards the screen that's where the heat sync is if your playing high demanding games , heat sync is in an odd place most the heat hits the screen hinge (you'll see if you get one) it doesn't affect...
