Great value for price

 

I bought this at a great sale price, so as far as I'm concerned, this was a steal given the specifications. Definitely offsets any cons.

I bought this to play games on the go and it works great so far. Not necessarily on all the highest settings, but significantly better than my previous computer. No critical issues as some others have had.

The fan is somewhat loud when using graphics intensive programs, though it's not a deal-breaker.

It's a nice laptop, just not for me

 

I think I'm going to stick with Asus ROG's now. Kind of had really high expectation from MSI product which is probably what disappointed me more. Going to return this product just because of the fan noise.

Very nice specs for its price.

Fans were kind of louder than I expected. I have an old Asus G46v which I bought around 2 years ago and that one had almost 0 fan noise. I bought that product from newegg as well and expected of similar quality from this MSI.

Not happy.

 

Rebate policy also sucks. Only good if you buy it at the beginning of month since it takes a while to get the product and they need information off the box. My fault for not reading the fine print properly. If I knew that newegg had a policy where...

Able to run games with adequate frames, loads relatively fast. It's a laptop. If you want something portable to play games on, sure.

Defective screen. Has a dead pixel. Can't get it fixed by them because it's only one. So, now I'm stuck with this defective product screen unless more pixels die.

Any suggestions?

How can I say? Computer doesnt even load windows on initial boot up

On initial boot up after taking it out of the box.. During boot it says "windows automatic repairing" then goes to saying " Your PC needs to be repaired" File: \Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe , Error Code 0xc0000185

Probably the best budget "gaming" laptop I have owned

 

The plastic clips holding this thing together really aren't ideal, and make it so it doesn't travel well as it is a little bit prone to falling apart

Powerful (for a laptop) CPU ; GPU is acceptable for the price ; (note- The model being reveiwed is the 860M) ; Ram is sufficient ; Best laptop keyboard I have EVER used

The BIOS takes forever, sometimes taking 45-50 seconds, usually after an update ; Occasionally the Wifi adapter doesn't start with the system ; Build quality is a little bit on the cheap side
