Lenovo Legion 5i (2022)

The Lenovo Legion 5i (2022) gives you exactly what you'd expect from a modern mid-range gaming laptop, with 12th Gen Intel processor options.

Impressive 1440p screen ; Strong Core i7 and RTX 3060 spec ; Excellent value

Poor battery life ; Not enough grunt for native 1440p gaming at max settings

The Lenovo Legion 5i (2022) is a great gaming laptop option for those who want a Quad HD screen without paying over the odds. Battery life is poor, but it will nevertheless be difficult to find better value elsewhere.

Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 7 Review

An overachiever in gaming and productivity performance ; Bright, colorful 165Hz screen ; Ample connectivity

A bit bulky ; No biometrics ; No SD or microSD card slot ; Low-rent webcam and speakers

Lenovo's midpriced Legion 5i Gen 7 gaming laptop has gaming performance and a native screen resolution that exceeds expectations. It's a good buy that's almost a must-buy if you can find it at a discount.

Lenovo Legion 5i Review

RTX 2060 GPU provides more than 60fps in demanding games ; 144Hz display for competitive multiplayer titles ; Well-made, compact build and good battery life ; Comfy revamped keyboard with full numpad ; 1TB of SSD storage and plenty of ports, including...

Some may find design plain ; Not especially lightweight for its screen size

The Lenovo Legion 5i is a smart refinement of last year's Legion gaming laptops, delivering practical design updates, a new CPU, and solid 1080p gaming performance at a fair price.

Lenovo’s Legion 5i is a gaming laptop of few compromises and few perks

RTX graphics make this a reliable midrange machine

The concave keys are still a joy to type on ; Good performance ; Can run most games at 60 frames per second with minimal compromises

An SD card reader and Thunderbolt would have been nice ; Poor webcam quality ; It’s eerily similar to the more affordable IdeaPad Gaming 3

Lenovo’s Legion 5i gaming laptop improves on the IdeaPad Gaming 3 with its support for Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics, which make all the difference when it comes to playing most PC games at a smooth 60 frames per second.

The Lenovo Legion 5i is a budget gaming rig that's perfect for minimalists

Budget-friendly for a gaming laptop ; Clutter-free, well-placed ports ; Good speakers ; Decent VR benchmark scores

Dim display ; Middling performance

The Lenovo Legion 5i is a budget gaming laptop with decent gaming benchmark scores, but it has a dim display.

Review: Lenovo Legion 5i (82RB00FKMX) | Slim Gamer At An OK Price

Lenovo's lightweight gaming machine provides ample performance for most games without breaking the budget. But it doesn't excite.

Snappy processor and plenty of storage. High enough performance for most games. Better screen resolution than most gaming PCs.

For the price, you can ask for a better graphics card than the GeForce RTX 3060.

The Lenovo Legion 5i is a gaming laptop at a relatively accessible price and with quite usable specifications. But it doesn’t make the headlines. In the price range, you have to make some compromises, but in this case, they are not so well chosen. The...

REVIEW: Lenovo Legion 5i – Stuck In The Middle With You - REVIEW: Lenovo Legion 5i – Stuck In The Middle With You

Lenovo's Legion laptops run the gamut from entry level to top end, with the latest generation Intel-powered Legion 5i sitting in the middle of the pack at $2499. It's a solid entry in the series – but having tried it out, it lacks that bit of extra...

• Fast, bright IPS display ; • 11th-gen Intel processor with Nvidia RTX 30-series graphics ; • Surprisingly good performance at native 1080p resolution ; • Good port selection

• Bland design ; • Some loss of fidelity with DLSS enabled ; • Lacklustre audio

A solid mid-tier gaming laptop with Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics and an 11th-generation Intel CPU, the Legion 5i is a decent pick but doesn't stand out from the pack.
