Toshiba's Android tablets haven't exactly been well received, so the company appears to have gone back to the drawing board. The end result is the Exc...
13in screen ; Full sized SD card slot ; Quoted 13 hour battery
Large and heavy ; Low ppi considering screen ; Expensive
The Toshiba Excite 13 is the biggest Android tablet on the market with a whopping 13.3in touchscreen. Whether it's too big will depend on the way you use a tablet, but the Excite 13 is heavy, expensive and has a low ppi considering its large screen.

Well, this lede pretty much wrote itself. A 13-inch tablet, seriously? Toshiba is pushing the form factor limits with the Excite 13, and while its
Bright, crisp dispay ; Solid Tegra 3 performance ; Clean build of Ice Cream Sandwich
Heavy and huge ; Expensive, given the specs ; Horrible camera, even for a tablet
The Toshiba Excite 13 is a whole lot of tablet -- 13 inches, to be exact. While its display is spacious and its Tegra 3 chip speedy, 2.2 pounds is downright heavy for a tablet, and $650 isn't cheap.
Avis d'expert par : Sascha Segan (pcmag.com)
The huge, pricey Toshiba Excite 13 tablet doesn't offer enough content to fill its vast screen.
Giant screen is good for watching videos. Excellent Tegra 3 performance.
So big it's unwieldy. Too expensive. Not enough HD content.
The Excite 13's size means it can pack a very large battery, and we got excellent battery life results—8 hours and 38 minutes playing a video with the screen on maximum brightness and Wi-Fi turned on. That's longer than the new iPad, which only managed...

Toshiba's first few tablets didn't exactly conform to what we expect from a slate. First there was the Thrive, which was enormous and thick but came with a full laptop-like load of ports and...
Big, roomy screen ; Thin and light for its size ; Near-stock Android 4.0
Imperfect build quality ; Mediocre display ; Huge ; Not enough tablet apps for Android
13-inch tablets aren't for everyone, but it's not as crazy as it looks
Avis d'expert par : Lynn La (cnet.com)
Designing the perfect screen size for a tablet is a tricky endeavor. Though many debates rage about "how big is too big" for a handset, at least smartphone designers have the luxury of abiding by one rule -- it must fit in the palm of one's hand.
The Toshiba Excite 13 has a zippy quad-core processor and a front-facing camera that features a handful of photo and recording options, and it ships with Android 4.0.
The Excite 13's mammoth screen makes it cumbersome to maneuver, and it doesn't deal well with videos that don't fit its aspect ratio.
On its own, the Toshiba Excite 13 is a decent tablet with a snappy CPU anyone can appreciate. But the unjustifiably big 13.3-inch screen isn't worth the price or the trouble.

Is 13 inches too large for a tablet?
Avis d'expert par : Melissa J. Perenson (pcworld.com)
When is a tablet no longer a tablet? One might ask that question when looking at the Toshiba Excite 13, even though it is clearly a tablet given its lack of an integrated keyboard. The largest of any tablet announced or shipping, this slate is all...

With a 13.3-inch screen, the Toshiba Excite 13 is markedly different from many other tablets available on the market today, pretty much sitting in a category all on its own. If you believe that larger means better, then the Excite 13 should open up...
Avis d'expert par : Scott Webster (androidguys.com)
Perhaps one of the most polarizing tablets we've encountered, the Excite 13 is certainly niche. Right for some, totally wrong for everyone else.
The Toshiba Excite 13 is not only a great desktop companion but its NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor provides an immerse gaming experience. Android 4.0 is a plus, and the front-facing camera is better than expected. We also applaud Toshiba's decision...
The Excite 13 is 13-inches so it's not meant for much use outside of the living room or office. Select videos, apps, and assorted content don't take advantage of the screen size as well as we'd like. The $649 sticker will turn a lot of people away
