Cingular 2125 / HTC Faraday (p)reviewed

There's not a whole lotta meat on them bones (it's just a forums review, after all), but some dude apparently got his hands on the Cingular 2125, which as it turns out is the HTC Faraday - the HTC Tornado, but without the WiFi. He seemed to like it...

Cingular 2125

The Cingular 2125 is a great little phone for syncing with Microsoft Outlook or Exchange servers.

Good looking. Excellent screen. Terrific battery life.

Phone could be louder. No Wi-Fi or 3G.

Cingular 2125 Windows Smartphone Review

The Cingular 2125 is the successor to the popular Audiovox SMT5600 Windows smartphone, featuring faster EDGE data, an updated OS, QVGA screen, and much more.

Lightweight ; Excellent reception ; Quad-band GSM/EDGE ; Superior battery life

Bad power button ; Almost no ; Storage ; memory ; Difficult input

The 2125 makes for a very useful high end phone with decent, but not great, PDA capabilities. It’s quite adequate for many applications that don’t require a lot of input: reading, video, or other things which can adapt reasonably well to the interface....

Cingular's Small Achievement

The 2125 handset lacks keyboard convenience, but it makes up forthat drawback with sound quality, music features, and its compact size.

When most people hear the word "smartphone," they immediately think of soap bar-sized numbers like RIM's (RIMM) Blackberry, Palm's (PALM) Treo 650 or the upcoming Motorola (MOT) Q. While these tend to be great devices for reading e-mail and...

Review: Cingular 2125 - A Stylish & Compact Windows Handset

One of the few design failures is the power button, located at the phone's top front. It looks like a standard button, so the logical guess is that you can push it. But no, it doesn't work that way

While browsing the Web over the EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) connection with Internet Explorer was slower than it would have been Wi-Fi, data moved swiftly anyway

Review: Cingular 2125 - A Stylish & Compact Windows Handset

You'll want to learn the keyboard lock command quickly (press and hold the red end call button) to avoid accidentally calling people on your speed dial list

The Cingular 2125 sells for $299 with a service contract. We think it's a smart purchase for people who need to stay connected, but still want a compact cell phone

Review: Cingular 2125 smartphone

After spending two weeks with the Cingular 2125 smartphone, I feel like an overbearing father — the sweaty, balding little-league pop with a beer-belly screaming "Hustle!" or "Dammit, keep your eye on the ball!" I can't help but see the...

With that said, at first glance, the 2125's a beauty. Weighing about 4 ounces, its compact, candy-bar style and metallic grey/blue body give it immediate sex appeal. It has a simple button layout with a key on the left spine that controls Bluetooth,...
