LG Revolution

The army of high-speed broadband phones is actively seeking new recruits to join its rapidly-growing force, and the LG Revolution is the latest to graduate from boot camp. We've witnessed the emergence of three Verizon LTE handsets in as many months,...

Bright and clear display ; Call quality ; Solid build

Terrible battery life ; Large and bulky ; Midrange specs for a high-end 4G device

A decent phone that, aside from its inclusion of LTE, doesn't live up to expectations -- or price.

LG Revolution VS910 review: LG Revolution VS910

LG Revolution VS910

The LG Revolution has a great 4.3-inch display, 4G LTE speeds, and both a front and rear camera. It also has rich multimedia offerings that include HDMI, DLNA, 720p HD video, and a preinstalled Netflix app..

The LG Revolution's search and maps are powered by Bing instead of Google, the default Android keyboard is unavailable, and the Verizon apps are not removable. Call quality is mediocre. It doesn't have the high-end feature set to match its high price.

The LG Revolution may not be the revolutionary handset it claims to be, but it's still a solid Verizon 4G Android phone with the bonus of the Netflix app.

LG Revolution (Verizon Wireless)

The LG Revolution boasts solid performance and blazing speeds on Verizon's 4G LTE network, but is held back by mediocre call quality and a couple of subpar features.

Super-fast 4G speeds. Nice, bright screen. Smooth performance. Currently, the Verizon 4G phone to support Netflix streaming.

Mediocre call quality. Below-average camera. Uncomfortable earpiece. Default search engine and mapping app is Bing, rather than Google.

Beyond the Binging, LG's version of Android isn't as heavily altered as its competitors'. Many of the apps here are stock, with a few small modifications and enhancements here and there. Personally, I prefer the brighter, cleaner look of the address...

LG Electronics Revolution

Another day, another 4G handset on Verizon. The LG Revolution ($250 with a two-year contract with Verizon; price as of 5/27/11) joins the HTC Thunderbolt and the Samsung Droid Charge as the third LTE device on Big Red. How does it stack up to the other...

LG Revolution review

I first caught a glimpse of the LG Revolution at Verizon's big 4G kickoff at CES and was eager to get my hands on the Google Android smartphone. Measuring 128-by-67-13mm and weighing 171g, it isn't the most pleasurable thing to hold up to my ear for a...

If you're looking for a phone to watch movies, do some heavy browsing and play games, you'll be satisfied with the LG Revolution. The Revolution's interface is less than polished, but its hardware is attractive.

LG Revolution vs HTC ThunderBolt

During our last Verizon 4G LTE smartphone comparison we looked at the Samsung Droid Charge vs the HTC ThunderBolt, but this time around we're going to compare some of the similarities and differences between the HTC ThunderBolt and the recently...

LG Revolution Review

Completing the trifecta of 4G LTE smartphones first presented to us way back at CES early in the year, LG's presence is largely going to be known even more on Verizon's lineup now that the LG Revolution VS910 is finally here. Needless to say that its...

LG Revolution First-Look Review: 4G Goodness

The Revolution may not be the world's sexiest phone, but it has an understated attractiveness that will no doubt appeal to many. If you have small hands or tight pockets, however, you're probably going to want to look for a different phone

When you pull down the Android dock from the top, there are icons for enabling and disabling the various radios inside the device (and there are many). There are also a few downsides to the UI that I’ve found so far; the included keyboard is...

LG Revolution review

What's one more LTE phone, more or less? That almost seems to be the case with the LG Revolution on Verizon. It makes up the triad that is Verizon's LTE smartphone stable, along with the HTC ThunderB...

For all intents and purposes, the LG Revolution is pretty good Android smartphone. We just keep asking ourselves where it fits into Verizon's lineup. It's a big black slab of an LTE phone, all right. But so's the HTC ThunderBolt. So how's it different?...
