Microsoft Kin Two mobile phone

With a better design and stronger specs, the Kin Two outshines its sibling, the Kin One. But it isn't perfect: Limitations and omissions within the so...

Attractive, larger display than Kin One, impressive camera, Kin OS easy to navigate

No native calendar, no native IM client, no app store

The Microsoft Kin Two impresses with solid hardware and an intuitive user interface, but glaring omissions -- like the lack of a calendar and IM client -- keep it from being the ultimate social networking phone.

Microsoft Kin One and Two review

Make no mistake: the Kin One and Two are coming into the world as the black sheep of the phone industry, and Microsoft would have it no other way.

Decent hardware keyboard ; 720p video recording ; Kin Studio cloud syncing

Uneven and buggy UI ; Lack of applications, even IM ; Data plan pricing too high for phone of this class

Microsoft Kin TWOm (Verizon Wireless)

Zune Pass. Nice keyboard and screen. Speedy UI

Zune Pass is Wi-Fi and sideload only. Awkwardly placed buttons. Non-expandable 8 GB for storage

The Microsoft Kin TWOm is a good feature phone sure to please frequent texters.

Microsoft Kin Two (Verizon Wireless)

Microsoft's Kin Two social-networking phone delivers solid Facebook and Web browsing experiences, but it isn't quite a smartphone.

Built-in Zune. Good Web browser. Web-based interface for your photos. Easy to share information with your friends.

Not really a smartphone, but priced like one. Limited account integration. ; Watch the Microsoft Kin Two!

What's Missing and Conclusions A short list of what's missing: no apps, no instant messaging, no calendar, and no GPS navigation. But never mind. With the right service plan, the Kin phones could still have cleaned up. Send a bunch of teenagers into a...

Microsoft Kin Two review

With a better design and stronger specs, the Microsoft Kin Two social-networking mobile phone outshines its sibling, the Kin One.

Right now, it is hard to estimate how well the Microsoft Kin Two will do without a price attached to it. While it has some "smart" features, this isn't a smartphone, fun though it is.

Review: Microsoft Kin One and Two

Microsoft unfurls its Kin One and Kin Two social networking phones, complete with Zune media software. Both phones do one thing fairly well, but fall flat in other areas. Updated with info about battery life, signal, and music syncing.
