The Samsung Brightside is so busy pretending to be a smartphone that it misses out on basic features, like a usable screen.

It's hard to find a good feature phone these days when such handsets are more often replaced by entry-level smartphones, leaving those seeking an in-betweener phone--more than a basic flip phone but less than a smartphone--with a drying pool of...

The Samsung Brightside has a comfortable slide-out QWERTY keyboard, decent call quality, and a design that takes advantage of voice commands.

If you can't stomach an iffy screen resolution, a mediocre camera, and a laggy processor, then don't buy the Samsung Brightside.

The Samsung Brightside isn't my all-time favorite feature phone, thanks to its exposed touch-screen menu, low-res screen, and laggy processor, but it is one option for Verizon customers.

I love this phone, I even chose it over the iphone! I have a serious gaming PC, so i didn't need an iphone. The only problem is the battery drainage. Once the phone dies, it goes in a boot loop and never charges. A new battery on verizon is 45 bucks! I...

Horrible

 

Horrible phone. Don't even try it. I have had mine for close to a year and I can't stand it anymore. It's been awful since the beginning.

Screen size

Touch screen doesn't work on some actions no matter how many times you try.Memory capacity(even with extra card) is very small.Messages are garbled

I enjoy this phone though after time I started realizing more and more of the glitches it had. It malfunctions alot and often messes things up.

~Sometimes doesn't charge ~Turns off on it's own ~Claims it's charging when not on charger ~Has issues loading pictures/videos ~Turns off if keyboard is slid out/in too fast ~Very limited home screen choices ~Calls voicemail on it's own often

Verizon's best Feature phone

 

I got this since my pantech jest 2 broke and I was out of warranty This is the best feature phone you can get on Verizon. the touch screen is accurate (for a 3.6 inch) so you need to be precise the screen has only messed up about twice since I got it....

This phone is terribly flawed. no space to list all.

 

There are 15 pages of complaints in the feedback file on the Brightside. Enough Said.

Cheap: I traded in a simple "'dumb" phone since this was the available upgrade. I don't text or IM, and do not use the email feature. All I wanted was a phone. I have three computers at home; don't need to have all the features of a "smart" phone.

1. The alarm doesn't work. 2. The calendar doesn't work properly. 3. The touch screen (which I didn't want in the first place) is too sensitive. 4. I can't get the camera to work.
