I have owned my DVR 390H for nearly 2 years now and must admit that, at first, I thought it was rubbish... that was until I found out that I needed a scart lead with the red/white/yellow plugs to connect the base unit to whatever I wanted to record...
The quality of the films recorded on it are brilliant and the sound good too. Great for taking films/music/photos on holiday with you. Great that you can use it as a camcorder and also as a camera. I consider it great value for the money I paid for...
The colours aren't quite so true on photographs but at 3.1 mps still great to print up to 7 x 5 photos ; It's a pain having to connect the microphone everytime you want to film as it doesn't have a built in one but this can be handy when you are...

Best feature - very cheap! Nice big, bright screen. lots of hard drive space. simple to explore navigation. recorded TV no problem but quality not top notch though acceptable for price of unit. Plays all my MP3s no problem, though best to organise on...

Bought one today from Harris Scarfe for $399AUD. An absolute steal at this price....blah to your vertical banding and blah to your battery life. This product at that price has got my vote!!!

What a totally cool product - all you need is an optical zoom, and support for standard MPEG 2 (for viewing DVDs that you've copied with your PC using DVD Decrypter.

Got one for £220 on bid tv channel in UK.It is fantastic but camera functions are limited.
