water in the cooker are all burned off white powder(lime?) stick to the cooker and the bottom of the pot.

Cooks rice well according to the instructions and the unit is easy to clean up.

No timer, no self stop, I see a spark every time I turn on/off the unit near the on/off switch, steam escaping from lid will create a nice mini puddle of water that you will need to clean up every time after using the unit, and overall not the most...

This rice cooker is great. It's simple, it makes great rice, and it's fast. Just a minute to get it going, and then you have perfect rice within a half hour.

We managed to break our first one, but that was due to us leaving it on 'warm' for over two weeks while away. No fire, just charred up the inside.

cooked 1 min than switch to off, you have to press cook again than cook another min and switch to off again. thanks I still have my old cooker then use it back. don't buy Tatung ... never again.

Made congri, a Cuban dish made with uncooked white rice mixed with cooked black beans, chopped onions, green peppers and condiments. The whole project was an experiment and I had low expectations, but came out great.

The measuring cup it comes with is misleading. The 1 cup mark does not hold 8 oz, so I use my own measuring cup. The right amount of outside water needed for steam is an experiment for some types of rice.

Awesome machine. Tatung Rice Cookers cook the rice perfectly. Just need to follow the directions. My father makes huge batches and has never had one turn out bad. Perfect rice every time!

Non-Stick white rice does not stick and comes out very very fluffy. If you get the right water portion it really makes good cooked rice. For the price, it is unbeatable!! We are enjoying it so far.

It doesn't go into warm mode automatically, which I can live with as the rice is cooked so well.
