The inner pot where the rice goes is stainless steel and not, non-stick coated. Adding Olive Oil will help but non stick would be better. The rice cooker is more designed for white rice like jasmine rice or basmati rice but not brown rice. Brown rice...

I bought it because it has a stainless steel inner pot. Otherwise it's a simple rice cooker that does its job. I have been using it every day for the last 3 months.
