excellent upgrade for an old 2011 mac
Ended up using Time Machine to back up and then "restore" the image onto the new drive. Worked overall, anyhow.
works excellent, was easy to install
the cloning process was beyond terrible. Took me several hours to realize that the brand new spanking El Capitan has removed the functionality described in the manual and in the product videos.

good drive, bad USB adapter case
First the good ; The SSD itself is fast, big (512gb), and generally just what I'd expect. No complaints there. Also, the USB 3.0 adapter is quick and works well to transfer files from one drive to another

Transcend upgrade my mid-2011 A1369 Macbook Air with 240gb original SSD to the Jetdrive 500 with 480GB. With only 5gb left, the machine was running at a crawl, and I routinely was having to delete or move files to my external SDHC card. My MBA runs...
