Kindle Oasis (2019) review: unmatched waterproof reading from sunrise to sunset

But there's little reason to – aha ha ha – 'look back in anger' if you own the previous generation

Gorgeous 7-inch touchscreen ; Display with adjustable warmth ; Waterproof design ; Page-turn buttons ; Support for audiobooks

Still no USB-C port ; Very minor update on previous Kindle Oasis

Kindle Oasis Review: Way Better, Way Bigger

This is the smoothest, fastest, smartest e-reader Amazon's ever made. And it's waterproof!

Amazon Kindle Oasis: The ultimate e-reader is now waterproof

For the Kindle's 10th anniversary, Amazon updates its high-end e-reader so you can take it in the bath. It has a bigger 7-inch screen and support for Audible, too.

The new Kindle Oasis maintains its slim design while adding a sturdier aluminum back and a larger 7-inch, high-resolution E Ink screen. It's fully waterproof (can be submerged) and can play your Audible audiobooks to Bluetooth headphones or speakers....

Expensive; no case included.

While not as lightweight as the original Kindle Oasis, the larger screen, more durable aluminum chassis and full waterproofing are important upgrades that put the new Oasis at the top of the e-reader class.

Amazon Kindle Oasis review: Best e-reader ever, but sky-high price hurts its appeal

A luxury e-reader if there ever was one, the new top-of-the-line Kindle weighs a mere 131 grams and includes a swanky battery cover that delivers months of battery life.

The Kindle Oasis is the lightest Kindle yet at 4.6 ounces and is 3.4 mm at its thinnest point. A slim leather battery case is included and adheres magnetically to the device, bumping battery life up to a 9 weeks without WiFi on. The integrated light...

It's pricey, isn't any zippier than the Voyage or Paperwhite, and isn't waterproof.

If you don't mind the high price, the Kindle Oasis is the best e-reader you can buy today.

New Amazon Kindle Oasis review: (What's the story) reading glory?

While we struggled to recommend the old version in light of the sturdy performance of the Paperwhite, we'd happily vouch for the new Kindle Oasis.

Sublime reading experience ; Larger display ; More even illumination ; Quality covers

It can be a little slippery ; Price ; Kindle Store layout getting a little old

While we struggled to recommend the old version in light of the sturdy performance of the Paperwhite, we'd happily vouch for the new Kindle Oasis. It's bigger, it's better, it's waterproof. It's the best Kindle yet.

LEAKED: Rumored 'Kindle Oasis' shows off crazy-cool new design

Leaked images show a wedge-like design with a big side bezel and built-in page turn buttons.

Amazon Kindle Oasis (2017) Review: Best Kindle Ever, If You Pay Up

Amazon has perfected its best Kindle, giving the device an amazing amount of water resistance; a larger, more well-lit screen; and improved internal battery life to remove the need for cases. The e-reader's $249 starting price, though, is prohibitively...

Water-resistance ; Larger, well-lit display ; Audible books support ; Elegant, comfortable design

Expensive ; No power adapter ; Costs more to remove ads

The Kindle Oasis is the best Kindle ever, but wow is it pricey.

Amazon All-New Kindle Oasis Review

The second-generation Kindle Oasis is IPX8 waterproof and brings an aluminum body at a starting price of Rs 21,999

Well built ; Long battery life ; Crisp display ; Smooth performance

No Audible support in India ; Expensive ; Lacks grip

The second-generation Kindle Oasis is Amazon's flagship device for what an e-reader should be. It has a great build, long battery life, twice the storage when compared to the other Kindles, along with a larger display. The fact that audible isn't...

Review: Amazon Kindle Oasis (2016)

Electronic books have already delivered a future where we can bring all of our books with us, but the next development will be one of super thin tablets that feel like nothing, a future where Amazon is already beginning to dabble.

So thin, so light; Cover included in the box; Free cover includes a battery to recharge the reader; Great screen technology left over from the Kindle Voyage; Can be held in either hand, making it an ambidextrous eReader;

Expensive; Ads on the screensaver; No adaptive light feature for the front-lighting;
