The FVP-4000T is the first Humax PVR equipped with Freeview Play, a new connected service that combines live broadcasts and catch-up TV in a single electronic programme guide. You can access catch-up content from BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and...
Attractive design ; Flexible recording with three tuners ; Lots of features ; EPG simplifies catch-up TV
Untidy catch-up TV EPG ; Live TV app slow to connect ; No MKV or FLAC playback
Avis d'expert par : What Hi-Fi? (whathifi.com)
This Humax set-top box is a great way to experience Freeview Play...
Records up to four channels at once Freeview Play works well Good picture and sound Easy to use
No Netflix yet
In short, we’d have no problem using the FVP-4000T at home. It looks good, physically and on screen, and is a fine route to catching everything you want to see on Freeview HD. We aren’t discouraged by the lack of apps such as Netflix, given the range...

In a nutshell, this is Freeview as everyone knows and loves – free-to-air digital terrestrial TV and radio – reimagined for the VOD generation by offering a backwards/scrollback EPG that integrates network-delivered catchup content from the major...
Triple-tuner recording flexibility; tidy design; good handset; full terrestrial catchup
Series linking is counter-intuitive; EPG could be slicker; no Netflix or Amazon VOD at launch
Overall, this is a decent PVR. The cute design and form factor impress, as does the best-in-class hardware spec. Freeview stalwarts will appreciate the integrated catch-up and its recording flexibility. Usability could be improved however. Recommended,...
Avis d'expert par : Chris Hall (pocket-lint.com)
Freeview Play has its first set-top box, the slickly named Humax FVP-4000T. The new service - that went live in October 2015 in the UK - is designed to combine regular broadcast Freeview services with connected catch-up services. The first Freeview...
Triple tuners, no ongoing fees, quirky design, record programmes
HD/SD catch-up integration issues, YouView has the upper hand
The first Freeview Play box is here, bringing a taste of Freeview's future. It's a future that wants to offer a service similar to YouView or Freetime Freesat and that will be welcomed by many, with core UK catch-up TV services integrated into the...

Humax FVP-4000T Review: We've finally got our hands on the first Freeview Play set-top box to hit the market, the Humax FVP-4000T.
Record up to four shows at once ; Every PSB catch-up service ; Live TV app remote viewing
Limited on-demand offering ; Slow interface
The first ever Freeview Play set-top box gives buyers a lot of features for their cash, but there's also much room for improvement.
Avis d'expert par (which.co.uk)
The Humax FVP-4000T is a PVR with built-in wi-fi, and can record up to four channels while you're watching a fifth. That's a lot of telly. There are also built-in apps to play with, and a reverse seven-day EPG, which means you can easily catch up on...
Avis d'expert par : S21 (s21.com)
The Humax FVP-4000T is a Freeview Play box with three HD tuners, and access to catch-up TV from the BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, and All 4, with Demand 5 coming soon. It benefits from built-in Wi-Fi, but it's odd coffee-coloured design won't make it...
There isn't much to choose between YouView and Freeview Play, so this box is a direct competitor to YouView boxes like the Humax DTR-T2000 . The Humax FVP-4000T has the advantage of including built-in Wi-Fi, but the design makes it an oddball and it...
Avis d'expert par : paul_smart (gadgetspeak.com)
The latest PVR from Humax now comes with catch up TV for the times you forgot to set your PVR. It also has the ability to allow up to three channels to be recorded simultaneously. Read on for more details of this coffee themed recorder.
Most recent Freeview boxes have two tuners which mean you can record at least two channels at the same time. This unit has three tuners so you can record at least three channels simultaneously. However if the channels are on the same multiplex this...

Great first PVR from Freeview Play
Avis d'utilisateur (very.co.uk)
Easy to connect and use. Its looks make a nice change from the usual black box. I am still finding my way through the controls but basic record and replay couldn't be simpler. Ordered Friday delivered Saturday am. Perfect.
