The hardware part does allow me to capture VCR output into my PC, but the instructions how to connect it were not as simple as they should have been. I somehow got the impression that using a S-video cable was preferable to the 3-cable link provided....

The documentation of the Cyberlink director was not very helpful, and like a lot of other add-on software was not at all new-user-friendly, and prone to dead ends in the hands of less experienced users.Less features but a more robust implementation...
