follow up review.. Kudos to Klipsch!

 

I had 3 of these units burn out on me all within a few weeks of ownership. I purchased 2 subs, the first failed so quickly I had Newegg replace it for me, but then the other one and the replacement both needed to be sent back to Klipsch. All 3 failed...

Klipsch WILL honor your 2 year factory warrantee despite this product being discontinued. They will replace it with a different, brand new unit of equal or greater value. They may be old, but they are sold brand new by Newegg and come with a factory...

This sub will most likely burn out and you will have to get a replacement from Klipsch if it is after NewEgg's 30-day policy. The speaker sounds good and the construction is top notch, but unfortunately the power amp is no good and will fail. I did not...

Significant upgrade over Pioneer SW-8MK2. Plays very deep, you can definitely feel the bass. Can't go wrong with Klipsch, especially for $150.

Remember this is not a $1000+ sub so don't expect it to perform like one. If you want a Velodyne then buy it. Friends and family always ask me what electronics they should buy. I tell them if it sounds good to you then buy it. I sold stereo equipment...

Price. Does the job. At this price point I believe you would be hard pressed to find a better sub. I was worried about reviews about reliability and I have run it straight for 72 hours and no shut down or blown fuses. Not sure if this is a pro but this...

The knob doesn't go to 11 anymore - original had 0-11. Older folks may remember Spinal Tap. I didn't buy two when they were on sale. Wished you could turn off the light on the front when it's on - not a deal breaker though

Suck!! Blown in 2 months.

 

Sun started blowing fuses in two months. This is the 2nd klipsch Sub I've had to do this. Klipsch didn't replace the first one it was out of warranty. Same thing happened with this one. Both subs are on different receivers. Same results. Of you play it...
