Great Monitor

 

I purchased this monitor almost three years and it's the best investment I've ever made for my digital photographic needs.

This is an excellent monitor for serious digital photographers. It can show a lot of colors that cannot be seen on other LCD monitors. Colors are rich and true and grayscale display is smooth. The smaller dot pitch is worth every penny of the price...

The price is high but it's for a good reason

Perfect for Photo Editing

 

I bought this panel purely for photo editing. S-IPS technology makes this panel stand out. Wherever you stand in the room, the picture remains just as vivid and colorimetrically neutral as if you were sitting right in front of it. Calibrates easily and...

I wish there was a setting to have it not automatically switch inputs when one signal disappears. When I reboot, for example, I want it to stay on the computer that is rebooting so I can see the BIOS info, etc., but it switches to the other input as...

USB ports are backwards. A thumb drive faces toward the back when plugged into it so you can't see the activity light

fantastic unit.

 

Just bought my second after a year of using one. I think this may in fact be an S-IPS monitor rather than merely IPS, though I'll grant that NEC has IPS listed on their product page. Maybe I'll give them a call to get clarification, as I've seen S-IPS...

In-plane switching. booyah

Buttons are free-floating and thus a little flimsy, but if you treat your toys with care they should be fine. Probably not kid-proof, though
