Apparently refurbished means "wipe it off and repackage it".

Bought 4 so far no issues with any. 2 were purchased over a year ago. If you are worried about them arriving DOA or dying quickly spend $11 for refurb warranty considering the price of the monitors still a good deal.

The refurbished monitors have obvious scrashes on the monitor stands. Otherwise, work great. The monitors normally last two years from my experience (I've bought hundreds of them).
