ASUS S-presso S1-P112

Good enough for me

i have built alot of systems and this was my first intel ,i had a p4 2.66 northwood 1gb of ram a dvd burner and a geforce 6200 and this thing plays WoW fine it's the one i let my woman play on when i am on my main machine and this thing for me runs way...

great design, easy installation and the quality of all of the components are great. the cpu heatsink is fantastic

i wish the agp and pci slots were spaced a little farther, if you have anything more than a passive cooler the pci slot is blockd off and that means no wireless pci card or pvr card

Asus S-presso p112

Read the other reviews. They can help. I followed the suggestions about disabling the card readers before installing the OS. All worked out well first time.

Easy setup. I dropped in the necessary hardware and fired it up--- no problems. I used a P-4 2.8 ghz 1 gb p2700 @333 mhz & 100gb hdd These were all parts donated from a friend's junked computer that was just off warrantee and had a blown mboard ; total...

Expansion is limited, but you should know this when you buy a small box like this

Don't bother if you are going to use a PVR500

find something else. I don't know if i'll even be able to ditch this to some sap for a business box. it could happen. Newegg was great about getting me the product but i should have researched it more.

Small, portable. nice all in one sort of thing

This box is very quiet if you turn on the Qfan in bios, but then your heat goes way up if you have an AGP and a PCI card in here. I put a GFfx440 and a Hauppauge PVR-500 in here and never got it to work and when i opened it up to pull the tuner it was...

ASUS S-presso S1-P112 Standard Intel Pentium 4 / Celeron Intel Socket 478 Intel 865G Intel Extreme Graphics 2 Barebone

Like another reviewer mentioned before me, be sure to turn off all of the media drives first before installing XP. XP will set those drive letters first and then make your drive F:, or H: or something like that if you dont. Also look to get a good...

Great little compact system. One of the better looking mini cases. Installation fairly easy. Quiet for the most part

Gets HOT HOT HOT!! (I'm sure this all over other reviews) With a P4 3.0E you can easily burn yourself on the back panel if its on. Can't turn system on via ps2. Only USB on. OC'ers not welcome. Simple BIOS, no extra settings

Hardware installation wasn't difficult. You may have some problems with your DVD drive utilizing the built in door especially if the drive's button is very low/flush with the drive itself. The only thing that kept nailing me is the OS install. XP likes...

Small size, nice features, loads of inputs, exellent documentation making hardware installation easy

OS install (especially partitioning)tricky, noisy as hell, no room for expansion cards, software used to run TV/Radio/DVD features buggy and clunky (in dire need of an update)

A nice rig for older games!

It runs great! Please note: Due to limited cooling, small case size, and the 220W PSU you have to plan accordingly. This barebone is GREAT for a mid-range system but not a high-end one. Basically, if the Watts of your CPU plus the Watts of your video...

Has a carrying handle on top ; Integrated audio, video and LAN ; Accepts full size AGP cards ; Bootable 7in1 card reader ; Many ports up front ; The front of the case closes for easy storage and carrying ; Runs quiet

Limited upgrades ; PSU is only rated for 220W ; Case cooling could be better ; BIOS has no overclocking features ; The custom heat sink is poorly machined on the bottom

Good lucks/Low Price/Linux Support!

Because of the limited heatsink...I would avoid getting a Prescott core P4. Find an older Northwood core P4. They go up to 3.2 Ghz, make 40% less heat, and have HyperThreading for a lot less $ than comparable Prescott core P4s. With my 2.8Ghz...

Great looking little computer. Easy set up (except for CPU Heatsink and DVD Drive, no tools are needed), and low price make this a great purchase. Coupled it with a 2.8Ghz P4 Northwood with 1Gb G.Skill 2.5CL DIMM, 250gb WD HD, and an old GeForceFX 5200...

Only has room for one hard drive. Socket 478, AGP slot, and lack of overclocking features in BIOS make this a dated system if gaming is your goal. Better off finding a system that can handle more modern CPUs/video cards. Must use provided...

Solid Performance / Great Looks

I built this PC out of parts I had collecting dust on my shelf, I did not build it to be a technologically bleeding edge PC. My expierience with trying to be too current with the technology curve has always led to flaky and unpredicitble performance. I...

S-presso S1-P112 is a very capable and well made SFF PC. It was literally a 10 minute build. Dropped in my CPU, RAM, Drives and Radeon card and turned it on. All devices and system settings were auto configured by the BIOS and the PC came to life! The...

This device has met or exceeded all of my expectations. I have no negative comments for the ASUS S1-P112

S-presso can run Pentium M

because this is an Asus product running the 865g chipset I would not bother to run a P$ when I could run a Pentium M. Buy the Asus Pentium M adapter and you will be faster and create less heat and make less noise. read about it at Toms Hardware Guide.
