The XPS 8900 does what it needs to do at a lower price than the competition. For many, that'll be all that matters.
Let’s clear something up right away. The XPS 8900 is not a gamer’s dream machine. Its lack of upgradability is a problem that will cause hesitation among enthusiasts. Game performance is strong, but the Core i5-6400 in our test machine is no...

If you're looking for a gaming PC that can handle VR, The Oculus-certified Dell XPS 8900 Special Edition has a relatively small and sleek design and offers good 1080p gaming performance without breaking the bank.
Avis d'expert par : Dan Ackerman (cnet.com)
Hitting the Oculus Rift minimum required specs means this desktop is ready for VR, at least on paper.
The XPS 8900 is a decent-looking desktop tower with reasonable expandability. It's only $999 as part of an Oculus Rift bundle, and includes a very good graphics card.
This VR-on-a-budget configuration may feel dated quickly as VR games become more ambitious. The Core i5 CPU holds this system back from being a PC-gaming workhorse.
One of the least-expensive Oculus-ready PCs, the Dell XPS 8900 Special Edition hits the required specs for virtual reality, but just barely.

Get the Dell XPS 8900 if you're looking for a VR-ready gaming PC that you can upgrade over time. Those seeking something smaller or more stylish should consider the Alienware X51 or Asus ROG G20CB.
Simple, easy-to-upgrade design ; Strong gaming and VR performance ; Handy built-in audio software ; Lots of memory-card slots for productivity
Lackluster keyboard ; Not as compact as other VR-ready competitors
The Dell XPS 8900 SE offers VR-ready gaming performance within an easily upgradable design that's fit for both work and play.

I recently bought XPS 8900 from Dell. I wanted to replace the hard drive to SSD. I bought SSD from Dell website and the SSD failed after 45 days. Dell said the SDD was past 30 days and they couldn't help. Dell service gave me the runaround. Be very...

As a REALTOR, the demands for simultaneous data from several different sources is a constant. My XPS 8900 with max RAM and twim monitors allows me to concentrate on the task at hand without having to switch back and forth from site to site. Very...

Mixed results so far. It has had some difficulties with freezing at start up. This happened the first 2-3 times I ever turned on the computer and several times since. (I have owned it for approximately 1 month)
