The G-Tech G-Drive EV ATC with Thunderbolt is fast, tough and supports both USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt connections. The outer shell is watertight, the internal drive can be swapped out with other drives in G-Tech's EV series.

The drive is bulky, limited to only 1TB capacity and expensive if you're not looking for a durable drive.

Those in need of a speedy portable storage device that can handle a rough, dirty or wet environment, the G-Tech G-Drive EV ATC is an excellent buy.

Nice Disk / No Redundancy

 

The build quality on this disk is excellent, it is fast and works with mac out of the box. (No need to re-partition for mac use)

The description says this has hot swappable drives, but this is raid 0 (striping) if you take out one drive you make the raid invalid therefor it is broken and cannot be rebuilt unless you put in the drive you removed. This is really misleading, while...

I use it as a backup for my HP Envy all in one. It works fine once I figured out how to install it. It's set up to be a plug and play on a MAC so I had to reformat it before I could assign a drive letter.
