Nehalem-based Intel Xeon processors, good airflow, reasonable power consumption, good expansion options

Only space for two hard drives, memory slots are hard to access

There is still room for improvement on the Dell Precision T3500 workstation desktop PC, but in terms of the raw power it delivers great performance. Configuration options are plentiful, and there is generous room for expansion.

Items working perfectly

 

I ordered 4 of these at a time for a location that would be using them for high end applications nightly. They are working perfectly

One of the 4 came with a bad image however i was able to re install windows again

Solid Workstation

 

Solid internals with a good operating system load image. Packaging is top notch: PC is encased in foam sheathing that will prevent any damage during shipment. Seller has high caliber customer service

Some blemishes on the exterior of the case, which are expected for a refurbished unit

Have SSD in 3.5 external, 1 TB in 5.25 external and 2 WD 2 TB Reds as Intel/hardware raid in usual 2 internal drive locations. Will add a 5th drive as eSata. Used as data/media server.

FAST! Enough memory at 6 GB. Excellent expansion., whisper quiet. 6 cores and 12 threads. Win 7 Pro. Video supports dual monitors

The value in this box is nuts. That processor alone is worth the cost. Comes installed with Win7 pro

When this machine puts its self to sleep, it is more like a coma. Multiple hard restarts necessary to pull it out of sleep mode
