Modding Capable

This is every bit as nice as I'd hoped. I'm extremely happy with it, even if I do feel the need to replace the PSU or at least the PSU fans. To me, tinkering and modding stuff is a normal part of making a computer. For a 720P HTPC, this + a 2GHz Dual...

Everyone has been talking about how it is quiet, small, energy efficient, etc. so I won't repeat all the sentiments. It definitely fulfills the promises laid out in the product description.

Box did not come with its own hex wrench. Went out and bought a 16 piece set for $3 and had to use the smallest to undo the 4 front faceplate mounting screws. A minor inconvenience, but nothing too worrisome for someone who mods their machines in the...

Great value!

Overall, I would buy this again for use as a file server, etc..

I have owned this Shuttle system for just over a month month now. I am very impressed! Runs quiet and very fast with a Celeron 430 and XP. Works great as a kitchen computer for web browsing, e-mail, etc..

Still can't get an Ice Genie for it. Definitely need a 92mm case fan, my idle temps were 59c without it.

Excellent!

Small, quiet, just purrs along... I bought this to build a Windows Home Server. I put a Core2 e6700, 2GB RAM, and a 500GB SATA HD in and fired it up.

I wish it came standard with the ICE cooler.

A little box that filled my needs...

I used this tiny barebone system for an Untangle network gateway... All hardware was automatically detected and configured with little to no user interaction. I'll be throwing another one of these together for other locations!

Small form-factor, light-weight, roomy (considering the form factor), fully compatible with the newer Linux kernel(s) 2.6.X and above. Low power consumption, quiet (see reason below)

No case fan (you'll likely want to add one in).

Super buy- really!

I am very happy with this so far. If I have to, I can also get esata storage and hook it up with a pci esata card. I really wouldn't see this as too much of a media pc (though I do have it set up to stream my movies to my ps3) but for a NAS/movie...

I needed a NAS that could have a gigabit port and use my existing 500gb HDDs. This is PERFECT! It runs smooth and only draws 100w on the PSU. Matched with a 35W celeron, it's just a great solution for a NAS that would have cost me much more than the 75...

Ok, fine, so the fan is a "need to add" item- but with the fan all is great and it doesn't exacly cost an arm and a leg.

Excellent deal

Well worth the investment. Not for the power user or gamer but for a second PC or standard business purposes you can't go wrong.

Bought it as a shellshocker for $74.99. Small foot print and all the connections I need to make a small torrent server/NAS. Very low power only 100W makes it an idel 24/7 server. Setting up the chipset was a breeze.

Fan on power suppy very noisy so for those of you wanting it for a media server may find it to noisy. Very poor cooling. I put a celeron 35W E430 processor in it and it ran at 53c with stock CPU cooler. I wound up putting in a 92mm fan which bought the...

smaller than i expected!

Works with a Core2Duo e7200. Multiplier is maxed at 9x, but you can bump the side bus up to 333MHz for a theoretical 3.0GHz, assuming it works. DDR2-800 RAM works fine. Hauppauge HVR-1600 works fine too. Specs say max is 2GB, but a review site tried...

Very small. Quiet. 4xUSB2. PS2 keyboard and mouse! Very portable! Includes one SATA cable. Power supply has a SATA molex on it.

The power supply has only one IDE molex - this made things a little difficult as I wanted to use an IDE HD and an IDE cdrom to install Windows. IDE onboard connector is not in the best location. Vista does not recognize audio UNLESS you have something...

WONDERFUL!!!!

Personal recommendation: add a rear exhaust fan with a decent CFM rating but low dB value and you will not be unhappy with the inside temps. Do not use stock HSF with this unit, invest in something with higher CFM.

AWESOME!!! For a small WHS or Samba server you cannot go wrong!!!! Great connectivity. You get what you pay for amazingly! Consider a treat for an everyday computer build.

The loudest component = PSU. :(

Very good

This is an excellent choice for anybody who wants an average computer.

It's really easy to save money by buying this and buying parts for it.

Some people may not know how to install some parts which may cost them extra when they have someone else install the parts for them.
