Sony STR-DE698

The most affordable 7.1-channel A/V receiver on the market; SACD/DVD-Audio inputs; upconverts composite video to S-Video; A/B speaker switching.

The look and feel of the plastic casing may turn off some buyers; sound quality not comparable with slightly more expensive models.

Potent power, but the Sony STR-DE698's average sound and style won't dazzle discerning buyers.

Probably wouldnt have bought If I had tried my speakers on it first , I demo'd it on small speakers with a powered sub ,which was ok.

Does most things ok

120 watts /channel , more like about 30, doesnt like speakers that are power hungry , 20 year old Pioneer 40/40 watt does a far better job.(Sony 100watt 8inch book shelf speakers used)

I purchased this receiver because I had some Sony points to use so the receiver was almost free. If I was spending my own money I would have purchased something other than a Sony. The Receiver has a lot of weird things about it that make it not the...

7 Endstufen, Die verschieden Sound Moden wie Dolby Digital EX  und DTS ES

DSP Modus überzeugt nicht, Anschluss der Lautsprecher zwar sehr stabile aber mir fiel geduld verbunden
