Ive only used this to make Beef jerky and it works very well. Only takes about 4-6 hours to dry depending on how thick the meat is cut. You can buy more trays from their wesite but the 5 that come with it have been plenty for me so far.

Does what it should do. My only observation is that it would be nice to have a timer to auto-shutoff after a specified time, but perhaps the more high end models do that?

Love the product . I wish it had a on / off switch though . Other than not having a switch , it's temperature settings are nice and a reliable machine . I make a lot of jerky and need something dependable. The trays are durable as well .
