easy to use and intuitive, software bundle is easily installed and the setup is simple.

some slides which were taken in natural light do not transfer well.

Excellent results so far but have not yet tried all media.

Having a few problems with initial sizing (aspect ratio) but overcome this with other software. Expect to overcome this with time.

Do not interrupt the scan - silverfast will lock - the only way back is to reboot PC. It takes time to get Silverfast working the way you want it to - some features are not applicable to a film scanner!

Quick pre-scan with good flexibility in adjustment of colour balance, contrast, etc before main scan.

Detent of slide carriage could be better defined. Deletion of text has to be done via 'backspace' key; 'delete' clears screen!
