Canary's smart home device is more than just a camera, with several useful features that make it more an all-in-one home-monitoring system. These include location-based notifications, an in-depth app, and environmental data that keeps track of air...
The Canary is extremely reliable but it lacks the extra features to make it stand out in a competitive market.

The Canary All-In-One Home Security Device keeps tabs on your home with 1080p video capture and sensors for air quality, humidity, and temperature, but you'll have to pay extra to use many of its features.

This cloud-based security system delivers features galore, but it's far from perfect.

That, coupled with a strong marketing push, is why Canary did so well on Indiegogo back in 2013 , crowdfunding nearly two million dollars only to follow the effort up with millions more in venture capital from big names like Khosla Ventures . Canary...

What goes on in your house when you're not there? That's the question that Canary is here to answer with its £159 smart home security system. We trust Canary. That's the bottom line here. There's a lot about it that really feels like "the one" as smart...
Inconspicuous design, great app experience, multiple users, recognises phones to deactivate as necessary, multiple sensors and alarm features, 12-hour free timeline
Regular false recognition, no bracket for variable positioning, future potential not yet realised from multiple sensors (no IFTTT, for example), subscription cost complexity, no recording downloads
We trust Canary. That's the bottom line here. There's a lot about it that really feels like "the one" as smart home security goes. It doesn't have the face recognition technology that Netatmo's added on to Welcome but we're not sure it really needs it....

If I were a shopper currently in the market for a home security system, I'd be giving Canary a good, close look. With an HD, night-vision camera and a bevy of sensors for things like motion, temperature, and air quality Canary promises to stand guard...

When I think of Canary I think of a bird known for its singing and in a way no doubt this is how the name of this product was arrived at. It is a security alarm product that sees the intruder and then no matter what he/she does they are on camera.
To say the setup was not easy is perhaps the understatement of the year – no make that decade – as even though I live in the UK – and it agrees with that – it insists I enter a ‘state’ this however can be anything a blank space or a non-existent one it...
