Ring Stick Up Cam review: A smart camera that can be installed anywhere, with power over Ethernet providing the ultimate flexibility.
Flexible installation ; Indoor and outdoor installation ; Well-priced cloud storage
Fiddly to find motion events ; No Google Assistant camera viewing
Smart installation, great alerts and exceptional quality make the Ring Stick Up Cam the most flexible camera you can buy.

This isn't Ring's first Stick Up Cam -- the first one I tested back in 2016 had some performance issues and the one after that cost too much for what you got. Ring's latest Stick Up Cam is priced at $100. Considering there are great cameras for just 20...
Ring dropped the price of its Stick Up Cam Battery to just $100 It has a simple app packed full of useful security features
You have to pay for cloud video storage, starting at $3 per month The Stick Up Cam Battery doesn't work with Google Assistant or Siri
I like the Stick Up Cam Battery. No, Ring still doesn't offer a free cloud storage option, and it isn't compatible with Google Assistant or Siri. But, this camera is solid and much more affordable than Ring's previous Stick Up Cam.

Ring's Stick Up Cam Wired is solid, but I'm holding out for free cloud video storage.
The $180 Ring Stick Up Cam Wired is easy to set up and use. I got responsive motion alerts and the detection zones worked well.
You can't use Google Assistant voice commands with this camera and you still have to pay for cloud video storage.
Ring's Stick Up Cam Wired is a fine camera, but better alternatives are out there.

Despite its neat solar panel accessory, Ring's Stick Up Cam has fewer features than our favorite DIY security cameras.
It's weatherproofed for outside use and you can power it via its built-in rechargeable battery, the included USB adapter or a neat solar panel accessory.
Audio quality was spotty during testing. You have to pay for event-based cloud storage. Its 80-degree field of view doesn't cover very much ground and the live video stream often looked grainy in testing.
The Ring Stick Up Cam's flexible power sources give it real appeal, but other standalone DIY cameras offer more for less.

The Ring Stick Up Cam is a wireless outdoor security camera that installs in minutes and interacts with other smart home devices, but has a narrow field of view and requires a cloud subscription to view recorded video.

There's a tricky balance to be struck when you're designing an outdoor security camera: do you go with the convenience of battery power, or the performance of wired? Ring 's Stick Up Cam attempts to straddle the two, offering the flexibility of a...

The Ring Stick Up Cam, now in its third generation, can be deployed indoors or out. It operates on battery power, which means you can deploy it just about anywhere your Wi-Fi network can reach, and it can be connected to an optional but inexpensive...
Inexpensive outdoor surveillance, even with the optional solar panel added on 1080p resolution and very good night vision Tight integration with Ring’s broad home security ecosystem
Crude motion detection zones Subscription required to view recorded video Ring's web portal doesn't show live video
Ring doesn’t make the most sophisticated indoor/outdoor security camera, but the Stick Up Cam Battery packs a lot of value, especially for those who have bought into the broader Ring ecosystem.

Ring's Stick Up Cam is one of a small number of smart security cameras designed for outdoor use. Is it worth the price tag, or should users opt for more traditional CCTV systems? We've spent some time with the Ring Stick Up Cam, and here's what we...

Meet Ring's new Stick Up Cam Elite, a power-adapter-enabled version of the startup's indoor/outdoor cam.

The weatherproof outdoor camera lets you keep an eye on the rest of your property.
Customizable motion-detection zones ; Live stream includes intercom feature ; 720p video
Narrow 80-degree field of view ; Can't view surveillance video clips without cloud subscription
The Stick Up Cam is an attractive outdoor camera that probably makes the most sense if you’re already invested in a Ring Video Doorbell. It’s easy to see how a few Stick Up Cams around the outside of your home with a video doorbell on your porch would...
