AT&T 3125 review

Smart phones have come a long way in terms of design and form factor. You're no longer restricted to carrying around bricks for phones and instead have a choice of sleek, sexy numbers like the Motorola Q , the T-Mobile SDA , and the RIM BlackBerry...

The Cingular 3125 sports a slim clamshell design; a sharp, vibrant display; and a 1.3-megapixel camera. The smart phone also has integrated Bluetooth, EDGE support, good call quality, and Windows Mobile 5 with robust e-mail capabilities and PIM functions.

The Cingular 3125 has some design flaws, such as the Micro SD slot's location behind the SIM card. It was also sluggish to perform some tasks in our tests and lacks integrated Wi-Fi.

The Cingular 3125 changes the look of smart phones with its sleek, flip phone design, and while some minor quirks and performance issues exist, it's still a solid Windows Mobile device.

Cingular 3125

Cingular's foxy 3125 brings slim chic to the smartphone world.

Gorgeous design. Good screens inside and out.

Performance doesn't measure up to top models. Odd headphone jack, with no universal adapter available. No 3G or Wi-Fi.

Cingular lists the 3125 for $300, but it drops to $150 after a mail-in rebate with a two-year contract. Monthly unlimited Cingular Smartphone Connect plans start at $19.99 with Xpress Mail, $29.99 with Microsoft Direct Push and $39.99 with Good Mobile...

Cingular 3125 Review

The Cingular 3125 stands out from this crowd with its ultra-thin clamshell design - still a rarity in the smartphone world. Although the 3125 offers software similar to that of its predecessor, the Cingular 2125, the 3125 mixes smartphone technology...

As an early candidate in the field of ultra-thin clamshell smartphones, the Cingular 3125 does not necessarily innovate software, but certainly manages to put forth a bold new design
