Pantech Impact

The Pantech Impact (available for $50 with a two-year AT&T contract; price as of January 25, 2010) provides a solid camera and a full-QWERTY keyboard, but its sensitive touchpad, oddly placed keys, and complicated phone-call mechanics keep it from...

Good camera/camcorder ; Solid full-QWERTY keyboard

Awkward design ; Small buttons make missteps easy

Though the Pantech Impact has some solid features, the phone's awkward design makes the simplest of tasks downright tedious.

Pantech Impact (AT&T)

The Pantech Impact is a well-built texting phone with a nifty touch keypad and an internal QWERTY keyboard.

Excellent touch keypad. Solid construction. Opera-powered Web browser.

Quiet earpiece. Proprietary headphone jack.

Camera and Conclusions The 2-megapixel auto-focus camera lacks an LED flash, though it can record video. It's a little tough to hold the Impact properly, because it needs to be flipped open to take photos, and your right hand ends up covering the...

Pantech Impact review: Pantech Impact

Pantech Impact

The Pantech Impact has a unique OLED touch-sensitive keypad, dual displays, and a full QWERTY keyboard. Features include 3G, GPS, a HTML browser, a 2.0-megapixel camera, and a music player.

The keypad could be a little roomier; the keyboard feels off balance; and the camera is a bit tricky to use.

The Pantech Impact has an eye-catching style and a respectable feature set, but its design could use some improvements.

Pantech Impact P7000 Review

Sometimes it's difficult trying to go about a new way of designing a phone without being considered too one sided with a specific form factor. Fortunately for Pantech, it seems like they are always reinventing themselves with each handset they put out...

Dependable touch-screen messaging phone for AT&T

The Pantech Impact, available at AT&T, is a flip-style full QWERTY messaging device. Reviewers generally like the design -- the exception being PC World's Damon Brown who calls it "clumsy" -- though it's somewhat bulkier than some of its...

High-quality OLED display, bright, vibrant internal display, good web browser

Can't use camera when phone is closed, no flash on camera, proprietary headphone jack

Pantech Impact for ATandT

The Pantech Impact is a horizontal flip phone from AT&T. Those looking for a messaging-centric device with a trendy design and a well-rounded feature set will most likely be drawn to the Impact. The Pantech Impact is now available for $99.99 after...

Stepping up the features ladder, we find Bluetooth Stereo 1.2 with support for profiles such as hands-free car kits, stereo headsets, file transfer, object push, A/V remote, and more. Another plus is the inclusion of integrated GPS on the Pantech...

Review: Pantech Impact mobile phone

The Pantech Impact sits awkwardly between text-friendly phones, many of which offer a better design for messaging, and touchscreen powerhouses, all of which are more capable of handling multimedia.

The flip phone, which measures 4.2 by 2 by 0.5 inches, is a bit bulky. At 4.5 ounces, it doesn't seem to weigh much in the hand, but it definitely can sag in a pocket. The 240-by-400-pixel display measures just over 2.6 inches, somewhat small compared...

"Horrible Quality! Stay Away!"

Initially when I got this phone I thought it was great. I had no problems within the first month (just enough time for the warrantee to run out). After a month everything went wrong. My phone began shutting off randomly, failing to send texts when I...

Looks Nice, Great Keyboard

Frequently Turns off, Frequently freezes, Front screen scratches easily, Fails at sending messages A LOT, Deletes Information and texts on its own, Vibrating Feature dies after about 6 months

"overall nice looking phone and easy to handle"

I am trying to upgrade and don't qualify. The price for new cell phones are so outrageous (for any provider). I am looking for someone who has already upgraded their phone and is a decent phone, or a go-phone so I do not have to pay the extremely...

good voice connection and voice tone is good.

TOO MANY TOO LIST. volume problems. Messaging problems, outside facing cover, etc. My daughter has one (blue) and it turns itself off-and-on, among other things.
