Pantech Marauder (Verizon Wireless) review

Not only is it about time that we finally see devices natively ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but it's also good to see inexpensive devices, like the Pantech Marauder, carry it too.

The Pantech Marauder rides on 4G LTE data speeds, has a user-friendly interface option for first-time smartphone users, and ships with Android 4.0.

The Marauder has a bulky design, a flat keyboard that's difficult to press, and a laggy processor.

Verizon's Pantech Marauder is a reasonably priced Android 4.0 handset that's perfect for beginners who want a keyboard and 4G LTE data speeds.

Pantech Marauder (Verizon Wireless)

If you don't want to pony up the money for a Motorola Droid 4, the Pantech Marauder is a decent bet for an inexpensive messaging smartphone.

Runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Large keyboard. Good talk time. Inexpensive.

Big and bulky. Mediocre camera. Flat keyboard keys.

Hardware, OS, and AppsThe Marauder is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor. Benchmark scores were quite good, though that also has to do with the phone's lower screen resolution. Still, you won't have trouble running...

Pantech Marauder Review

Over the past few years, we've seen numerous phones from Pantech that are budget friendly, including the Pantech Breakout. But until now, if you wanted a 4G LTE smartphone with a physical QWERTY keyboard, your choices were limited to the Samsung...

Affordable ; Starter Mode for beginners ; Android Ice Cream Sandwich

Poorly designed keyboard ; Video recording is limited to 19 FPS ; Not the fastest 4G speeds

When we recently reviewed Verizon’s BlackBerry Curve 9310, we mentioned that for the same price of $49 on-contract, there are better options. The Pantech Marauder is one of them. Not only does it have the advantage of running Android ICS, but also can...

Review: Pantech Marauder for Verizon Wireless

Pantech's Marauder is a slim and stylish slider that packs a punch. With Android 4.0, LTE 4G, and a cool 'Starter Mode' for Android newbs, the Marauder means business.

Pantech Marauder Written Review by Sydney

So, let's just get this out of the way: Marauder is probably one of the worst names for a cell phone I've heard recently. Samsung might top it with its :) (yes, that's the name of the phone), but I'm not too sure I want a phone that's nicknamed as a...

Android 4.0; dual-core Snadragon S4 processor; 4G LTE; terrific physical keyboard; Starter Mode for those who are new to Android or smartphones in general; inexpensive

Somewhat small display; poor camera quality and no flash; mediocre hardware design

If you're looking for a great phone for under $100 on Verizon, the Marauder should be one of your top options.

Just a Bad idea

This phone my be cheap on Verizon, however it is just a bad buy the screen has a horrible fuzzy resolution that makes it seem like your watching a 1980 television, the processor is slow and dim-witted and the battery life is poor. The phone is as heavy...

the phone is strongly built and hard to kill

The screen is abysmal, slow processor and lagging performance and dated interface.
