Happy Campers

When we were looking for a new tv, a friend of ours told us about Samsung and DLP. It was cheaper than Plasma and almost as good picture wise. Well, our friend didn't lie. It comes almost ready to use right out of the box and it weighs alot less than ...

Really nice picture, cheaper than plasma, lightweight and easy to move around.

Audio probs with DVD's but that may not be the tv's fault.

TV Shows are in the room with me with the Samsung 61 inch HDTV Televison!

My family has been enjoying the Samsung 61 inch HDTV Television for over a year and a half. While setting it up as the center of the home entertainment system was no picnic, it was worth the effort. After watching a game or movie on this ...

Amazing image, surprising problems

Background These Samsung TVs use a technology from Texas Instruments called "Digital Light Processor" or DLP. A DLP is a chip with tiny movable mirrors - one mirror per pixel - that move to turn each pixel on or off and create the image. In ...

Image quality, weight, price

Great HDTV and reasonable price

I'm an engineer and tend to see every flaw in a TV. With that said, I really enjoy this TV with HD shows. The contrast, color, brightness and sharpness are great. There are some flaws that may bother you but should not in most cases. First let me tell ...

Great HDTV pictures. Good sound with BBE turned ON.

Some rainbow effect, muddy dark scenes

Fantastic!

I've had this set for 8 months now and its continues to dazzle. I'm running a Samsung OTA tuner and an HD cable tuner (Comcast). Even SD content looks great, and HD content is absolutely breathtaking - note that SD quality will depend on your tuners ...

Beautiful set, tons of inputs, fantastic image quality!Consistent performance over several months.

I'd like all the component inputs to accept up to 1080i.

If Home Theaters' Could Dream, This Would Be What They Would Dream About

Right out of the box this set is ready to amaze. When I first pulled this unit out of the box, I immediately realized just how well this unit was designed. There is hardly a body to this machine, as well as the fact that it barely weighs enough to be ...

High contrast levels - Does not have a large footprint

Price is still considered high

DLP great for movies, not for games

I purchased this TV in May 2003 for $4500 from Magnolia Hi-Fi. Doing side-by-side comparisons in the store, it had the sharpest picture and was the clear choice for me. I get about 4 HD channels through Comcast cable, and about 6 more off the air. ...

Fantastic for DVDs HDTV broadcasts, esp sportsDVI input
