This is way cheaper than other VR options - and the cliff house is rather great. Specifically, this is a great tool for creating (whereas other devices tend to be based around just playing). Though I've also used it to watch a few movies.

There is no focus ring, and you have the Freznel lenses. If you don't position them perfectly, the visibility is blurry and not as good as other devices. But moving the headset to the right position does fully resolve this problem.

Great immersive visuals

Hard to use, the controllers disappear and it's difficult to get them back. There is a total lack of software available to find out how good it is.

I have a VIVE already and bought this to compare. It is far more comfortable than the VIVE and as good as the Vive visually, I would seriously recommend paying a little more for the ones with headphones built in though.

No headphones built in is really bad, and no SteamVR yet is terrible, meaning you should not buy one until SteamVr is released, regardless.
