Q4-MD

This portable GPS device is solid, but it isn't quite on a par with competing models from TomTom and Magellan.

Big 4.3-inch screen ; Easy to use

No lane assistance ; Lacks refinements found on high-end GPS devices

While the Nextar Q4-md lacks some of its competitors' refined features--such as automatic route overviews and lane assistance--it's still a solid choice for a portable GPS device

Nextar Q4

Nextar's Q4 delivers a wide-screen navigation system for those on a small-screen budget.

Excellent value. Simple menu system. Text-to-speech conversion.

Limited routing options. Relatively small (1.6-million-entry) POI database. No vehicle profiles, live traffic, or Bluetooth.

Review: Nextar Q4-MD GPS

This portable GPS device is solid, but it isn't quite on a par with competing models from TomTom and Magellan.

The Q4-MD’s features include a 4.3-inch touch screen, Tele Atlas maps of the United States (all 50 states) and Canada, a Point of Interests (POI) database with 1.6 million entries, a year’s subscription to the MSN Direct service (which costs $50 per...

Nextar Q4 GPS unit

A few years ago when Global Positioning Systems were all the rage, the Magellans and the Garmins dominated the market. Today, you can find GPS systems with Navteq maps virtually everywhere at crazy cheap price points. One such GPS unit is the Nextar...

Nextar I4-BC GPS Navigation System

In conclusion, the NEXTAR had a very noble attempt at creating what seed like the prefect GPS. However, the I4-BC fell short in a couple of critical points. With a hefty price tag of $204.99 form anything4wireless.com this GPS unit face some stiff...

Review: Nextar I4-BC GPS

I am a GPS nut, and  I have been since I won my first one, a Garmin GPS-12 at the Dayton Hamvention as a door prize.  That Garmin had no maps in it, but fortunately it's almost unheard of to not have included maps on a GPS unit these days.  So what...

Expert Review

The Nextar Q-4 is a player in the third tier of GPS units, and sells for a discount at stores online. The unit certainly is good enough to get you there, and the interface, speed of satellite acquisition, and design is much improved over what I saw...

Avis d'utilisateur (newegg.com)

No Updates Available!

This is not worth the money, because the unit does NOT operate as advertised. Plus, Nextar pushes the customer to spend more money on updates. In the end, it is cheaper to buy a name brand.

None

The GPS unit does not recognize many of the addresses that I input. Also, in the middle of my trip, it will say "Please insert map card"... at which point, I will have to reboot the unit. Nextar does not put out map updates or firmware updates. After...
