Ok But WAAAYY OVER PRICED.

The sound is downscaled so through the reciever it is a washed out signal that sounds anemic. I get the same or better from the LG TV's headphone jack. Save yout cash and get a new reciever, there are some good deals on New Egg now. Time to hand down...

What you are getting is permission to decode Dolby from your TV to an older Tuner. It is way over priced ; Worth $20.00 max

Didn't work

Used to convert surround sound 5.1 from Panasonic TV and connected to a legacy audio receiver. This unit had audio drop outs during conversion of 5.1 surround. Audio gaps of up to 45 seconds. Worked fine for non-surround TV stations. Not sure if these...

Works well for me

Also, I would have thought that I could plug the power adapter to the switched AC output of the audio equipment and have this adapter turn on/off only when needed. It must have some internal caps or something that hold charge when outlet power is...
