Yamaha is attempting to take a Home Theater in a Box receiver, a streaming media device, and a universal remote system, and shove them all in the same neoHD YMC-700 Media Controller package.
Easy to use ; Universal remote features intuitive ; Wireless streaming easy to set up and very stable ; A great value for all the functionality
Setup a bit more math intensive than it should be ; No renaming function for learned controls ; DSP modes someone locked in ; Remote small and not backlit ; Requires additional purchase for iPod integration

Don't let the RMA scare you, if something goes wrong, which with many electronics they will, you'll get great RMA service.
Sets up easy! The microphone balances each of the speakers volume ; The GUI is easy to use ; RMA service is great
One of the HDMI ports broke after about 6 months of use. I sent it in and it got replaced in less than a week. Very good ; Doesn't give you control over the treble and bass

I purchased this unit elsewhere. The first unit was installed, set up. I tried to update the firmware via the network and it would just hang the unit. So I used the USB drive and was able to update it. I could not get the internet radio to work, I...
Small in size, good quality sound for me (I'm not an audio person) Small remote. Onscreen sound adjustments. 3 HDMI inputs
TivoHD Video quality is degraded when passed though this unit. If you plug TivoHD direct to my HD TV the HD video is life like. If it passes though this unit, ewwwww. I have a direct HDMI from TivoHD to TV ; Network on this unit does not work if you...

Excellent idea, poor execution, but with firmware uodates, maybe some of these issues can be fixed, or even beta tested with users like myself.
Remote control is small, light, and very comfortable ; Unit performs well with 5.1 system ; Internet radio is an excellent addition to this unit, very easy to use ; FM radio with presets also nice ; Setup is simple, upconvert from component video to...
Cannot use HDMI video input in combination with optical or coax audio inputs, so you effectively cannot use your HTPC with this unit ; IR repeaters turn off my Scientific Atlanta HD-DVR cable box, but won't turn it on at startup as it is supposed to ;...
