Garmin-Asus nuvifone M10

Is it a sat-nav or a Windows smartphone? Garmin's nuvifone M10 tries to excel at both, but does it succeed?

If the regular POI database doesn't have what you're after, Google Local Search is also available. Results do extend across an entire country in this case, and are listed in order of relevance rather than just closeness. You will of course need an...

Garmin Asus Nuvifone M10 review

Will fusing smartphones with sat navs make a compelling handset?

Good integrated satnav ; Wide screen photo shooting ; Lots of free built in memory ; High quality car kit ; Data warnings

Screen is dull ; Poorly located microSD card slot ; No FM radio ; Confusing user interface ; No camera flash

A decent sat nav that doesn't offer much as a phone - Windows Mobile 6.5 just isn't good enough to make this a worthy all round package

Garmin ASUS M10 - Tech2

The M10's primary functions works out just fine but it does leave a little more to be desired.

Garmin Asus nüvifone M10 review

Poor battery life, an obsolete operating system and confusing software make this hybrid satnav/mobile phone frustrating to use, and we don't see the point in it.

Garmin Asus Nuvifone M10 review

The Garmin Asus Nuvifone M10 runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional and uses a 600MHz Qualcomm processor. It has 4GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot that can accept cards up to 32GB. Apart from GPS, it also supports Wi-Fi and 3G and has a...

If you are in the unlikely situation of wanting a smartphone specifically for GPS, then the Garmin Asus Nuvifone M10 is a great buy. However, if GPS is your most important requirement, then dedicated GPS devices remain a better option, and there are...

Garmin Asus Nuvifone M10

The Nuvifone M10 tries to do something more than regular smartphones by putting its GPS features front and center.

GPS works really well ; Elegant Looks ; Good Build Quality ; Powerful Battery

Expensive ; Poor camera ; Average multimedia performance

The Garmin Asus Nuvifone M10 is a Windows Mobile 6.5 powered smartphone with a great deal of focus on GPS navigation.

Garmin Asus nüvifone M10 review

GPS manufacturer Garmin has teamed up with Asus to bring out the nüvifone M10, a large-screened smartphone running Windows Mobile that comes with Garmin's satnav software plus a car cradle and charger. It's quite a chunky phone, being 14mm thick and...

Garmin Asus Nüvifone M10

Review Smartphones and satnav are a pretty good combination, and there are plenty of configurations to choose from. You can use a free service like Google Maps [1] or Nokia's Ovi Maps [2], or buy an add-on like CoPilot Live [3]. Typically, smartphones...

With Windows Phone 7 now very close to release, the timing of this Garmin Asus collaboration does seem a bit tardy. I’m holding my breath to see the A10 Android alternative, but if you're more interested in having a dedicated satnav phone than the...

Garmin Asus Nuvifone M10 review

The satnav-centric M10 makes a bid as an all-round smartphone

Excellent GPS capabilities; good quality display; 3.5mm headphone jack; good battery life

Rather outdated and sluggish operating system; touch-screen accuracy issues around the edges of the display; resistive rather than capacitive screen

Those looking to benefit from the flexibility and accuracy of smartphones that offer a more capable operating system and display may become frustrated by the M10 but, if satellite navigation is a primary concern, there's plenty to like.

Garmin Asus Nuvifone M10 review by 3G.co.uk

The Nuvifone is an excellent sat nav device, but falls down on phone

All that Garmin sat nav goodness makes the Nuvifone the best GPS phone around

The WinMo operating system makes for a fiddly experience

The Nuvifone is an excellent sat nav device, but falls down on phone and other features.
